The past few days I have decided to improve my cash game. I’m starting at .02/.05 again. The stats on this chart a little skewed from Poker Table Ratings at the higher levels since I let a friend play those levels exclusively(I have never played higher than 1/2nl.
So we will see how it goes!
Busy night tonight for me anyways lol. In a 1 buck rebuy, 2 buck 1 re-buy 1 add-in, 11.70 double shootout to the sunday mill, and in a 1 buck sattie to a second level to the sunday mill. If all goes well that’s it for tonight. If not, then back to the grind!
Got 4th in the double shoot out with aj suited v a10 s all in pre dude flops a ten….booo
Busted the 1 buck mill guarantee satellite and the 2 buck 1r and addon
so I’m still in the one buck rebuy though….
Thought I’d be cruising in hhis but then this happened. The chances 6 handed lol Oh well
So I was staked 50 bucks to hop back onto pokerstars. Since this small stack (hahah) isn’t of my own creation, I am obligated to play within strict bankroll management. I decided to play 45 mans. These were the best game that I played at the 1 to 12 buck levels before I left stars.

That’s how I ended my session. I have no idea how I get away from ak here, i’m not that good to believe that I was two outed especially at a rush table. This was the second time in the night that these micro players shove in big hands instead of calling my bet or re-raising. In higher limits this makes me think that it’s a bluff bet but in the lower limits I guess the players are bad or don’t understand extracting value. They just so happened that they shoved at the right time. These hands cost me about 14 bucks tonight, which is almost 3 buyins at .02/.05 which urts espcially working with my micro roll.
My original schedule that I posted yesterday was setting me up for a huge, HUGE grind. So I modified it to be more aggressive and to allow myself to be further motivated to pay attention.
Any thoughts let me know!
So today is the 2/16 and is the start of my hu grind as posted earlier. So Session one went like this:
I have to admit that I def. did not give 100 percent attention tonight. Also I had some sick beats like
quads over my aces, if I payed attention I may have been able to get away from it. Also I got it in pre with big slcik 4 times and wiffed, got it in with 2 flush draws and wiffed. So winning a flip make a difference. Before my last 4 I held a 13%roi and now a lowly 2. I mean it’s def. way early to determine any substance but still.
So I decided to deposit 44 back onmto tilt which yould make 74 for the year of which 30 came from some live profit. So technically 44 out of pocket this year. It just so happens that 44 is 40 buyins for the micro heads up 1 +.10’s.
I’m going to start my grind back at this level and hoipefully move up to the 2 buck level by the middle to end of next month and then see what happens. I printed out a buy-in schedule to help me keep focused but not too goal oriented.

Obviouslly I woul;d love to keep a 6-10% roi but I know variance will happen. So here’s to wishful thinking as I tear up the small felt on tilt.

The daily dollar was ok actually however, with 3 entries I had only one that had a decent 10k stack. Then I totally lost interest and got it in with 1010, aj and 77. All of em were bust. So it’s back to the benches and go Pack!
No matter what a player gets lucky sooner or later and has the money for a good roll. Only the great players can manage that roll and stay focused. Good players will do the same but to a lesser degree with a rising percentage to bust. Bad players will go busty every time.
I was lucky last year with a multiple hundred dollar score which I was able to parlay into a couple thousand dollars on cake. But I withdrew everything except for like 300. Barry Greenstein wrote in his book “Would a plumber sell/give away all of tools? Then why would a poker player remove money from his roll? The money is your tool.” He’s right.
As of right now I don’t have the tools. Tonight I thought I was going to have a shot at getting some tools in a 4.40 rush on demand tourney. I was rolling with around 11k with 60some to go with AQo flop comes 3sAd5S I bet obviously following my standard raise pre. turn was a rainbow blank. I bet the other guy shoves for his remaining 6k which puts me in. Standard bluff move here on his draw; I call and rivers a fucking spade. Unreal. It seems that I am “almost” there as far as my play; but something or someone seems to always win a flip or just straight cool me.
Live poker I do very well when I play,but the online situation is just frustrating. Because of my home situation I’m not able to deposit say 300 – 600 at any given time on a site which would be awesome. I know I lack the appropriate focus(which I am working on) and I’m beginning to question my game in general.
I think now is a time for a break, time to do some research, time to step away from the virtual felt and rest. Maybe say some money to put aside and be able to deposit more than 30 at a time.

So I decided to forego playing 1 buck hu matches and decided to enter a 14.5k gury 2 buck rebuy and add -on rush tourney. Currently I am 20 from the money.
Update:
Busto in 140th On the button and I have 6 bets left I decided to make a play for the blinds which are huge. Small blind calls and shows k9. We both hit a 9 but no 2 in sight. Bad play or not? I’m not so sure in a rush tourney and huge blinds.
Update: Played some rush tonight approx 1k hands. Ran well except for this hand which I had a feeling was going to happen after I saw the flop.
